Passo a passo
I will get there,
there are a lot of steps to take, and I don't know how many curves to follow.
But I will get there.

The theme goes on
The theme of life is written for us, we cannot change it. The choice we have is wether we sing along in harmony or break it...
But don't forget, a perfect disharmony can put a beautiful accent.
Sing your tune, make it catchy, make it ordinary, make it an epos or make it a novel, but whatever you do, never never make it boring.

Mirror mirror on the Wall
The way you look is one of the communication media towards other
people that gets the most attention, often more then what you say...
Yet it is also the only medium you don't have control over ; not even
in the mirror will you ever understand how you look.
The best mirror you will ever have, is the way people look at you.

Mama, why ?
why is the sky blue ?
why do clouds change shape ?
If I was a statue, would I be cold ?
And if I had a blanket, would I still feel cold ?
And with a very very warm blanket ?
Is there a number bigger then infinite ?
why does the washing machine turn always first left and then right ?
Why don't you understand when I say a little much ?
Why are we here ?
Is it still far ?
Can I have a cookie ?
Why do we call a tree a tree ?
If I swallow a chewing gum, what will happen ?
Why are babies born with their head first ?
Thank you mama, for answering all my questions...

Can you walk the walk ?
going great, and you can realize yourself and be happy about it.
Sometimes, you dont have that freedom, and you have to push yourself
through a hole you don't really fit, so that you can realize yourself
and be happy about it.
This is the game life is, and I wish the rules would be honest and
fair, but they aren't. Yet the more you complain about the crappy
rules, the less you can play.
Luckily, life is a game that requires tactics, but it's also a game of
chance ; ) There is no square that is really a lost square, anything
can happen.
I have fretted the rules for a long time. Now I have to learn how to
play by them...

Chit Chat
but I also like the moments, where we are together, and don't need to
talk... when all is just well as it is...

The target is clear
have to end... a flag, a house, a light in the distance, they help you
find your way. They do not make it easier to walk, and often make you
even feel the fact that you are still far away and have to walk a lot
to get there. But they do make it easier to know where to go... but to
be honest, once I know where I have to end up, I often don't care
about the walk anymore, when actually, the walk is the only
interesting part, the goal is a lot less interesting...
Once you see the goal, you loose the possibility in your mind to find
another goal... You feel momentarily saved, but are actually locked...
If I knew the goal of my life, I would know how to live it. But it
certainly would not be as enjoyable... I would be locked in my belief
that there is only one good ending to this fantastic story...
I believe honestly that all the endings are beautiful, not what
happens matters, not how long it takes, but how you take it, and how
you look at yourself and others while you are going to your end...

Decisions, decisions
A while ago I said something about red and green, two important colors
in our life, and how knowing when to go and when to pause is one of
the biggest tricks to life.
What to do when the colors are not green and red but orange and red ?
from all the sides there is resistance, there is not a good moment or
a bad one... Actually, it simplifies the matter... It is no longer a
matter of waiting for a good moment or not, recognizing the good
moment and going for it precisely during that good moment... It´s only
a matter of deciding wether or not you want to cross the street,
wether you want to arrive at the other side or not... If there is no
promise that the light will turn green, then there is not difference
between crossing now or later. If you are sure that you want to cross,
cross now...
go go go !
and whatever you do, if you start crossing, go all the way, because I
can assure you, if you are in the middle of the street, and turn back,
you will see the same red and orange light telling you not to go
back...
I have some crossing to do myself, but first some deciding...

Até deu faísca!
Lisboa, linda Lisboa !
I am back for two weeks, working dusk to dawn, but it's great to be here!
Portugal is really a beautiful country, my hearts beats faster just being here. Though I know that it's only for a short time that I will be here, and that it will be long before I will pass through here again, I try not to think about it. I am enjoying every moment of it, and see things as I never saw before. The lamp post in Alameda, near Fonte Luminosa... beautiful geometry, the lamppost adds to the image of the square, even when the sun makes it superfluous.
Windpower is booming business in Portugal, and it fits also well with the culture, I think. And I say this with the utmost respect for the culture that I have learned to love so much: Portuguese are windy people, they go were the wind takes them and make the best of it, not as opportunists, but as realists. There is no changing the wind, just change your goals and decide to go where the wind wants you to be... It makes them extremely inventive, because they have to find solutions for problems nobody ever solved before... This windfarm is next to A8, going north of lisbon, about 20 km south of Óbidos, a medieval town in the contest for next world wonder..
When driving through Lisbon, you drive by history all the time... some don't notice it anymore, but this city has a hard job expanding while keeping it's patrimonium intact.
